How It Works
Dilators can help decrease pain and discomfort during vaginal penetration, by maintaining or increasing the elasticity of the vaginal walls. There are many different ways to do dilation exercises, so we recommend consulting your doctor or pelvic floor physiotherapist before dilating.
Many people find it helpful to plan some uninterrupted time for dilation. Taking a hot bath or shower beforehand can help to relax the muscles, and vibration may help with this as well. Dilators should be used with a good water-based lube.
